When I open emplode, I have two panes displayed, with playlists in the left hand pane, and the contents ("tunes") of the playlists displayed in the right hand pane.

Whichever item I click on (playlist or tune, that is in the left pane or the right pane) determines which pane is the "active" pane -- that is, the pane that responds to keyboard inputs.

Does anybody know of a keyboard sequence that will allow me to set which pane is active?

Try pressing F6.

Try pressing F6.

That does half of it... it switches "active" control from the left pane to the right pane. But it doesn't switch back to the left pane when pressed again. (It just makes both panes inactive!)

Is there another magic trick to go back to the left side?

Shift+F6?

I'm just guessing -- these are standard keypresses for switching views in a Windows splitter control, and Visual C++ would have put them in by default. I'm just assuming that I didn't get rid of them.
